East Abbotsford has a few retail locations such as near the Whatcom Exit, Clayburn Plaza, McMillan Plaza, Abbotsford Village Plaza on Sumas Way, and we are soon getting two new grocery stores with additional retail outlets joining the Whatcom Exit area. Some of the parks and recreation services we have are Delair Park (lighted Baseball and soccer field), Robert Bateman Park, Winfield park, Castle Fun Park, Abbotsford Recenter-(newly expanded), Curling rink, Fraser Glen and Ledgeview Golf courses, Heritage Valley Resort, are to name a few.
East Abbotsford is just a few short minutes away from all the other fine amenities Abbotsford has to offer like big store shopping, Mill Lake, University of the Fraser Valley, Abbotsford Exhibition Park, the new sports plex, and the Reach Art & Cultural Gallery. East Abbotsford is located along Highway #1, an hour drive from Vancouver. The two main exits from highway # 1 would be Exit 92 - Sumas/border crossing, and Exit 95 - Whatcom Road. The East side is also assessable from the north by Highway #11 - Abbotsford-Mission Connector.
